Homeopathic Treatment for Kennel Cough

Important Homeopathic Treatment for Kennel Cough:

Drosera 9CH: Very good for the typical dry hacking cough. Probably the primary remedy.

Aconite 6C: A very early remedy to give when the first signs appear. Usually good when the pet seems well and within hours becomes ill...very quickly. If given in time, it can abort the whole infection. Excellent for calming the pet.

Spongia Tosta 6C: Drier, more hoarse, barking cough. Similar to the 'trained seal' sound people get.

Phosphorus 30C: Dry cough with flecks of blood in it...this may be leading to pneumonia. Increase their Pet Immune and Horehound.

Bryonia 30C: Dry cough with obvious pain. Cough may have moved deeper into the lungs. Dog feels better if you hold its rib cage while it coughs as the intercostal muscles (between the ribs) are very tender from the coughing.

  1. Dear Doctor
Thanks for putting valuable information on net. My 18 months old Pug started coughing last evening while we were returning from day long National dog show in India, It sounds just like kennel cough but the onset is earler than expected ( Normal incubation period is saidf to be 4- 15 days) , the other possbility could be that the dog contracted a virus three days back when i gave bath to her( It s chilly winter here n India these days), although I had taken extra precautions not to expose her by providing a sunny setting. i will use your medications and i'll see what happens. Incidentally I'm a practicing M.D. Cardiologst and because of my pets have been introduced to homeopathy.
    regards
